Nisa Chevènement was born in Cairo, she is a French artist with a multifaceted sensibility. Trained at the School of Fine Arts in Cairo, she moved to Paris in 1965 and pursued studies in psychology at university. She went on to work for many years as a psychoanalyst in the public sector before fully dedicating herself to her artistic vocation.

Driven by a desire to create her own jewelry, she designs personal and singular pieces conceived to be reproducible—unlike her sculptures, often unique works produced using the lost-wax technique. In 2009, she collaborated with Greek jeweler Zolotas. From this encounter was born a collection inspired by their shared Mediterranean roots: Egypt and Greece.

In 2018, the exhibition “From Sculpture to Jewelry”, presented at the Orangerie of the French Senate in the Luxembourg Gardens, embodied this continuity between sculpture and ornament, affirming a unified artistic vision. Today, Nisa Chevènement continues her work—across sculpture, painting, and jewelry—remaining true to a profoundly personal universe.
